Arrival & Introduction
The children arrive at 9.15am and are encouraged to hang up their outdoor wear on their named peg. The children are then settled in their chosen activities by staff or parents.
Register and News Time. From 9.30am we take the register and then discuss the week’s topic or letter and then the children have an opportunity to talk about any items of news they have from home or the treasures they may have brought with them.
A Village Pre School with personal care
At this time the children are encouraged to join in the day’s structured adult-led activity or to participate in their own games, drawing or a reading session in the book corner, which can also be used for rest or quiet time.
Rolling Snack Bar. A selection of fruit, vegetables, toast and crackers are available. The children take it in turns to help themselves with adult supervision. Water is freely available during the session.
Rural garden setting for your child’s growth and enjoyment
Outside Play. We have a free flow with the garden and the children are able to play outside for most of the day. We go out into the garden in nearly all weather but sometimes if it is too hot or too cold we will stay inside and enjoy music, movement or indoor games.
Tidy up time / Quiet time. The children help themselves to a book. Members of staff hand out a drink (milk or water).
Story time, music, nursery rhymes and singing
Home time or Lunch
Children staying for lunch will need to bring a packed lunch and a drink (we recommend water). We promote healthy eating so please provide a balanced lunch. We have a strict ‘No Nut’ policy. A drink of water is also provided.
Our afternoon sessions offer more fun activities and free flow play. The children are able to choose from our range of resources.
